Farm Country

Our August has been so busy and slightly insane. We got a booklet from Rio Tinto (Daddy's work) with free passes to lots of different venues, the catch is that they are only valid for the month of August, so we've been visiting and exploring a lot. We went to Farm Country at Thanksgiving Point. The kids liked all the hands on things and animals to pet.

Simeon loved the pony ride because usually when we ride horses, he has to ride with someone or be pulled by an adult. Jayda and Olivia were a bit bored by the ride, but they were good sports about it.

The horse-pulled wagon ride was pretty cool.

I felt inspired by the grow boxes and the set up of the garden. We are planning to do a similar set up in our side yard.

Strange birds: an albino peacock! and a funny turkey. It started to rain so hard just as we were finishing up our visit- when we ran to our car we looked like we had been in the shower.
