We had the most amazing time at the zoo last weekend. Petter's work rented the whole zoo out and made it so much fun, especially for the kids. They fed us dinner, with novelty drink cups to keep- we thought that was great and started on our tour of the zoo to find out that all treats were free: free dippin dots, cotton candy, popcorn, slushees, ice-cream, anything our hearts desired. We could ride on the train all we wanted. We got so many free treats, it seemed like we hardly saw any animals we were so busy feeding our faces.
They gave out free hats and t-shirts (the hats came in so handy because it was H-O-T!)
Our favorite attractions were the elephants- one elephant kept picking up mud in his trunk and spraying it all over himself and everywhere else, the tigers- one of the tigers was just sitting in the water up to his neck staring at us, and the bird show- loved seeing all of those amazing birds.
They even had FREE face painting- my kids thought that was one of the highlights, I love how they all picked different things.
They were having a dinosaur exhibit that Simeon loved, the dinos actually moved, sprayed water and made sounds.
It was a great time to spend with the family- thanks Rio Tinto!
